The «Italian Journal of Mycology» is a peer reviewed journal

The Italian Journal of Mycology serves as the official scientific publication of the Unione Micologica Italiana APS. Established in 1972 by Professors Gabriele Goidanich and Gilberto Govi, the journal has, since 2015, been published online in English in order to enhance the international visibility and dissemination of the research it hosts.

The «Italian Journal of Mycology» is a peer reviewed journal. It was established at the University of Bologna, and it is the official organ of the Italian Mycological Society . Iit is an open access journal hosted and maintained by AlmaDL.

The Italian Journal of Mycology (IJM) publishes original papers (research articles, authoritative reviews and short notes), news (commissioned conference reports, book reviews) and editorials on biology, ecology and taxonomy of fungi and false fungi (Oomycetes, Myxomycetes and Plasmodiophoromycetes). The Journal will accept papers that reach a high standard of scientific endeavour as judged by international peer reviews.
