UMI
Unione Micologica Italiana
The Italian Mycological Union (UMI) is a social promotion association established on October 2, 1969, by Professor Gilberto Govi and Professor Gabriele Goidànich. The Union’s goals are to promote and stimulate mycological studies and research, from a botanical, medical, and toxicological perspective, and to develop interest and knowledge of mushrooms among amateurs by establishing and maintaining contacts among them and with various scholars and study centers in the field. It also promotes activities to protect fungal biodiversity.
